Texte (Folkert Küpers, Barbara Wedekind), Lieder (Clemens Graefen, Ivan Zsimbal, Detlef von Schmeling) immer mit dem Nagel auf den Kopf des Themas, auch wenn es weh tut.

Für den einen ist die Familie die Keimzelle von Staat und Gesellschaft, für die andere der Wohlfühlort schlechthin, in dem man seiner selbst sicher ist und zu dem so schnell niemand Zutritt erhält. Da ist das Blut dicker als das Wasser.

Wenn man an dem Familienband nur ein wenig zieht, dann wird es gleich so lang, dass es die Welt umspannt. Dafür sorgen Flüchtlingsströme – binnen und buten – Wanderarbeiterinnen und Wanderarbeiter, Völker, von denen so viele wandern, dass sie als Völkerwanderung zumindest im Nachhinein schmerzfrei akzeptiert werden.

Nimmt man den Wohlfühlort, dann ist für viele – und nicht nur die queeren – die Familie nicht unbedingt der Ort, an dem sie sich sicher fühlen. Da taugt die Freundschaft als soziales Band oft besser, das findet man auch schon in manchem Märchen, das die Brüder Grimm abgemalt und aufgeschrieben haben.

Als Projektionsfläche für unsere frommen Wünsche hält unser Familienband den Laden noch ganz gut zusammen; Sie werden es hören.

Die 45. Duisburger Akzente zeigen vom 2. bis zum 24. März 2024 die Vielfalt der Kultur in Duisburg. Das Kreativquartier Ruhrort beteiligt sich mit einer Vielzahl von Ausstellungen, Konzerten, Lesungen und vielem mehr.

Texts (Folkert Küpers, Barbara Wedekind), songs (Clemens Graefen, Ivan Zsimbal, Detlef von Schmeling) always hit the nail on the head of the topic, even if it hurts.
For some, the family is the nucleus of the state and society, for others it is the feel-good place par excellence, where you are safe in your own right and where no one can gain access so quickly. The blood is thicker than the water.

If you pull on the family cord just a little, it becomes so long that it spans the world. This is ensured by streams of refugees - within and without - migrant labourers, peoples of whom so many migrate that they are painlessly accepted as a migration of peoples, at least in retrospect.

If you take the feel-good factor, then for many people - and not just queer people - the family is not necessarily the place where they feel safe. Friendship is often better suited as a social bond, as can be found in many a fairy tale painted and written down by the Brothers Grimm.

As a projection screen for our pious wishes, our family band still holds the place together quite well; you will hear it.
